One text conversation throughout the day is the amount of words we speak to each other within five minutes. And when we’re together, just sitting and not talking, I tell you how I feel in the silences. Through text,  I can only give you snippets of my day, temporary activities, temporary feelings, futile details of my daily life. But what I want to tell you can’t be communicated through my keyboard. I need you in front of me, without any telephone wire between us, without any distance, without anything in the way.

I hate texting you.
